The New Seekers Sunday School class has been renamed to reflect what the basis of what they are studying. The new name is FOUNDATIONS, because our goal is to study core, foundational beliefs and tenets of the faith on a level that new believers can understand but that will also interest more seasoned believers. The study will be facilitated by Susan Mihal. Our first study for 2017 will be THE APOSTLE'S CREED by Matt Chandler. With so many questions, opinions and interpretations among people today, even within the church, what should we all agree on as essential to the Christian faith? For more than 1600 years, the Apostle's Creed has united the church around core Christian doctrines as revealed in Scripture. This historic confession points us to the foundational beliefs of our faith and to the life-changing truth of the gospel. This study will go over the creed section by section and explain what you are really committing to when you say you believe what it says and why that is important. Join us as we delve into the
foundations of our faith. Please email a book reservation to Susan at inhisimage_1961@msn.com so that we can insure having enough books for everyone the first day. This class starts on September 17th.

2017 Walk for Hunger

Posted on 09/04/2017

The annual Walk for Hunger, sponsored by the Fairless Clergy Association, will be held on Sunday, September 24. Several changes are being made this year, including the start time. This year's walk will step off at 1:30 PM with registration beginning at 1:00 PM. This will give people more time to get home from church and have a bite to eat before returning for the walk.

The walk will be a 5k+, beginning at St. Paul UCC, traveling up the towpath to John Glenn Park and back to St. Paul. A bottle of water and goodie bag will be handed out to each registered walk to take along to keep hydrated and keep energy up. Water and chips will be available upon return to St. Paul.

This year we will be reinstituting the CHURCH CHALLENGE, a traveling trophy given to the church raising the most money. Donations will be tallied and the Sunday following the event, an FCA representative will visit the winning church and present the trophy.

We will also be encouraging the use of social media this year. You can post your photos, comments and testimonials on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using the hashtag #FCAWalkforHunger. If you can't make it the day of the walk, do your own walk anytime and use the hashtag to share.

This promises to be a fun-filled day with great fellowship and everyone participating making a great contribution to our community thru the Clergy Association. Let's all plan to participate and make this the best walk yet!! And lets make FOHL the first trophy winner!!!

There are information sheets and sponsor forms on the church office door!

Online Giving Now Available

Posted on 07/06/2016

On behalf of the Finance Committee, I want to make you aware of a new way you can give to the church through an online option. The Church Website and Facebook page now include a link that will allow you to access "Online Giving".

*The user-friendly site allows you to create an account with your checking account information.
*Once your account is created, you can open it and enter the amount to be given to the church.
*The church will be charged a service fee of 2.75% for monies given through this online option.

You may ask why the Finance Committee is offering Online Giving?
*For those times when you are not able to make it to Sunday Morning Service---maybe you are on vacation, are working, or experiencing another situation that causes you to miss a service; you can still support the church with your tithe and offering.
*Also, if you only use a Debit Card and do not have checks -- Online Giving may be helpful to you.

Our Committee will evaluate the Online Giving option after six months of use and determine if we will continue to offer it to Fohl. Thank you for your faithful support of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church. In His Service, Denese Majors, Finance Committee Chairperson
